Somerville now has two of Boston's outstanding restaurants: the Elephant Walk and this
newcomer to Davis Square. Small but elegant, Gargoyle's showcases the culinary virtuosity of
Neil Palmer, a former chef from Aujord'Hui (the Four Seasons) who launches into Alsatian
and New American cuisine with balance, brilliance and depth. Despite being the most expensive
restaurant in Somerville, Gargoyle's convenient location and exuberant reviews make for
long waits during peak hours, so arrive early or call for reservations (3 or more only).
